We have been having lots of fun recently reading the book "The Very Hungry Caterpillar". We have used a story bag to sequence the different parts of the story.
We have also done some ink printing using vegetables, and painting to make our own caterpillars.
Our home corner has been turned into a fruit and veg shop and we have really enjoyed playing in it.
We have also been making the most of the warm sunshine by getting outside as much as we can.

Donation from TSB
Earlier this year, we were chosen to be the charity partners of TSB bank in Tewkesbury. This week, Jane went into the Tewkesbury branch and was presented with a cheque for £230. As well as this, TSB gave us lots of paper, which will be a really useful resource for the children.
TSB are planning a Christmas raffle and a coffee morning to help them meet their aim to donate £500 to us. We really appreciate their efforts!

Welcome back to our blog!
We hope all our children and their families had a lovely summer. Our Majors children have made a great start to the new year, with their move to the morning group. We have also welcomed our new Minors children in the afternoon and they have all settled in very well.
We have made the most of the sunny weather by getting outside and having fun with water and sand.
Our new Minors children have been getting used to our Pre-School routines - carpet time, snack time and story time.

Tewkesbury's Big Weekend Parade
We had a fantastic time in the parade at Tewkesbury's Big Weekend. The children behaved wonderfully and looked fantastic in their costumes. We would like to thank all the parents who helped out by walking with the parade or manning the tombola stall - we raised £217 on the stall!
Here are some pictures of us at the parade:

Growing
We have been having lots of fun since returning to Pre-School after half term. Our Majors have started a new topic called "Growing", where we have been talking about how have changed since we were babies.
We were lucky enough to have a visit from a new baby and his Mummy.
We really enjoyed hearing all about him, and even got to hold him!
We have also started doing P.E. sessions in the school hall, to help us get ready for starting school. We have practiced finding a space in which to work safely. The Pre-School staff thought our skipping was fantastic!

Our extended hours children who stay with us for the afternoon had a trip to park last week, and really enjoyed playing on the slide, roundabout and tractor.

Having fun indoors!
As it was so cold last week, we had lots of fun playing indoors doing lots of craft activities.
Our Majors and Minors children enjoyed making pasta pictures using coloured glue to stick the pasta down.
We also brought the water tray indoors and spent lots of time playing with different toys and bottles in the water.

Frosty Weather
We made the most of the cold mornings last week by going out for a walk to look at the frosty grass and icy spiders webs.
We had left some tubs of water out overnight, and had lots of fun playing with the blocks of ice that had formed. We had frozen some objects inside them, and it was exciting waiting for the ice to thaw so that we could get them out.
We also enjoyed making snowman faces with paper plates and coloured card.
