Our day out!

We had a wonderful day out this week on our Christmas trip to Cattle Country. We filled two coaches with pre-school children, mums, dads and grandparents, and the sun shone all day!

We took a train ride to visit Santa in his grotto, and saw pigs, cows, goats and of course...reindeer!

Then we burnt off some energy in the play barn, climbing the steps and whizzing down the wavy slide.

We stopped for lunch in the cafe, and then enjoyed the sunny day, playing out on the trampolines and in the castle.

Then it was back to the play barn to have just one more go on the slides. Some were even brave enough to try the vertical death slide! Mrs Walker wasn't sure who enjoyed themselves more - the children or the grown-ups!!

We returned to Tewkesbury, exhausted but happy - what a fantastic day!

Christmas Concert

What a fantastic afternoon we had at our Christmas Concert! The children performed their show perfectly and did so well in front of a packed Watson Hall. We are so proud of all of them.

We had lots of stalls running, including the raffle, tombola, hook-a-bag and "guess the teddy's name". Our cake stall proved popular, and our children also got in on the act, baking their own Christmas cakes and mince pies to sell. Santa's grotto looked magical  - thank you to our committee for all their hard work getting it ready.

Thank you to everyone who came along and supported this event.

Bingo night

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our Christmas Bingo night on Friday 6th December. It was a fun evening with lots of people winning some lovely prizes. The hall looked festive and there was a great atmosphere. We really appreciate the support of all those who attended. The evening raised £324!

Christmas cooking

We had a great time this week making Christmas cake. We all took turns to put the different ingredients in the big bowl, and then had a go at mixing them all together. If you come along to our Christmas Concert on 15th December, you might be able to buy one of our yummy cakes!

Christmas is coming!

We have had such a busy week at Pre-School, and preparations for Christmas are underway!

Colouring a giant Christmas tree

Thank you  for returning the "All About Me" documents. They make really interesting reading for Key-workers, as they give us an insight into the activities our children are involved in out of school time. Here are some examples:
- Walking on wooden stilts
- Watching the Christmas lights being switched on in Tewkesbury
- Showing an interest in traffic signs
- Going to dance lessons
- Going to Out of the Hat to make Christmas decorations

We are all looking forward to our Christmas trip to Cattle Country. There will be 80 of us going. Thank you to everyone for returning your meal orders.

We have started learning our songs for the Christmas show, and this week we went to the school hall to practice. If Mrs Walker hadn't already been grey, she would have turned grey straight away...it was very funny!

Trying on costumes for the Christmas Concert
We have also started making Christmas cards. The Majors have been printing using their hands to make Santa's face, and the Minors have been making angels.

Next week our Christmas post box will be out, so you can post cards to all your friends. We hope you remember to put the child's full name, as we have lots of children with the same name!

New Play Tower!

Our children came back after the half-term break to find a fantastic new play tower had been installed in the outdoor area. This was purchased using a grant from Summerfield Charitable Trust.

The children were very excited to see the new play equipment and could not wait to have a go!
