Luckily we have had some cold, frosty mornings, and we left out some tubs of water to freeze overnight. We loved playing with the ice that had formed: pushing it around, feeling it, looking at it closely with magnifying glasses and watching it melt back into water.
This week we have been making splatter pictures by splattering white paint with a toothbrush on black paper. Some of us ended up with more paint on ourselves than on the paper!
A really exicting thing happened this week - a box of new toys arrived! We couldn't wait to find out what was inside.
The box contained lots of new construction toys, including play bricks, cones, drills, clipboards, safety hats, hi-viz vests and a cement mixer. Some of the money we used to buy the toys had come from two of our mums, who completed a 5 mile running race and very kindly donated their sponsorship money to Pre-School. We are really grateful to them for doing this.
We had lots of fun playing with the new toys outside, pretending to be builders.
